Bio

Giorgi Shalikashvili (b. 1992, Republic of Georgia) is a fine artist based in NYC. He earned a BFA from the Tbilisi Academy of Arts in 2015 and completed the Informal Master’s Program at the Center of Contemporary Art in Tbilisi in 2017. Recently, he graduated with an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York. He is focused on developing abstract paintings. Giorgi resides in Brooklyn with his wife, actress Tina Khaladze, and daughter, Sophia.

Born into a family of artists in the Republic of Georgia, Shalikashvili has lived, worked, and exhibited in Tbilisi. He has held two solo exhibitions: "Gods Winking at Gods" at the noncommercial MAUDI Gallery in 2020 and "Unintended Smile" at the National Museum of Tbilisi in 2015. In 2016, he was honored with the prestigious Tsinandali Award as the “Brightest Young Talent” in the Republic of Georgia.
